TL;DR

While every BTS album and song offers something memorable, here are a few top locations closely tied to their music and stories. For anyone who loves the maknae line, Jeju Island featured in the 2024 show “Are You Sure?!” is highly recommended. Meanwhile, fans of RM should not miss Chuncheon. On the other hand, if you’d rather stay in Seoul, the Han River and Gyeongbokgung Palace are must-see spots. Now, let’s take a closer look at each region and what makes it special!

Top BTS Filming Locations in Seoul

Seoul is not only Korea’s capital, but also a true BTS landmark! Many of the group’s most iconic stage moments and music video shoots took place here.

Gyeongbokgung Palace, 경복궁 (2020 IDOL & DYNAMITE Stage)

BTS made history at Gyeongbokgung, performing epic stages on The Tonight Show and YouTube. The palace’s grand gates, lotus ponds, and old-world charm create the perfect backdrop for K-pop photos. If you rent a hanbok, you can even enter for free!

Address: 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul

– How to get there: Subway Line 5, Gwanghwamun Station, Exit 2, 2-minute walk

Euljiro Area, 을지로 (2021 Season’s Greetings)

Euljiro is a neighborhood where you can still feel the authentic vibes of 1990s Korea. BTS captured this retro atmosphere perfectly in their 2021 Season’s Greetings photoshoot.

For a true local experience, stop by Eulji Dabang(을지다방), a classic coffeehouse where you can try ssanghwa-cha(a traditional tea) topped with a raw egg yolk—just like the locals did in the old days. Afterward, head to Jeonjujip(전주집), a beloved spot for grilled pork belly (samgyeopsal), and enjoy a meal just like BTS!

– Address: Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul

– How to get there: Subway to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station or Euljiro 3(sam)-ga Station (Lines 2, 3)

Tip: Explore the alleys for hidden gems and take retro-inspired photos at the same spots as BTS.

Jeju BTS Filming Locations: 2024 Highlights

In 2024, Jungkook and Jimin filmed the second season of “Are You Sure?!” in Jeju. Their relaxing trip inspired many fans to follow in their footsteps. Jeju is a healing destination, beautiful in all four seasons and perfect for a BTS-inspired getaway.

Jeju’s locations are spread out, so renting a car or using taxis is recommended. Therefore, be sure to book in advance for popular spots!

Now things are about to get a little more hardcore. We’re heading out of Seoul, so the locations are a bit more spread out. But if you’re a true ARMY, these are places you’ll definitely want to visit at least once!

Gangwon’s BTS Spots – RM’s Healing Tour

In 2019, RM took a break and visited Chuncheon, Gangwon-do. Jade Garden became so popular among fans that it’s now known as “RM’s Garden.” There are many photo zones and you can enjoy untouched nature.

RM also visited other Chuncheon spots: Gwon Jin-gyu Art Museum, Soyanggang Dam, Gubongsan Observatory, and Twosome Place Café. Why not do a full RM tour while you’re there?

BTS Spring Day Filming Locations: A Nostalgic Journey

I love “Spring Day”—the song, the message, and BTS’s look at that time. I’ve visited many of its filming locations!

One of my favorites is Hyangho Beach in Jumunjin, Gangneung, featured on the “Spring Day” album cover and MV. The Bangtan Bus Stop is so famous that fans used to line up for hours just to take a photo!

Another spot is Iryeong Station in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do—the opening scene of the “Spring Day” MV, where V hears the train in the snowy field. It’s especially beautiful in winter!
